A postpartum doula is a specialist focused on supporting new parents as they adjust, heal, and learn to care for themselves and their baby. They provide emotional, physical, educational, and practical support.
There are numerous studies and clear scientific evidence that confirms that having a doula is linked with improved maternal mental health outcomes such as reduced levels of postpartum depression, anxiety, and stress, greater emotional resilience, and smoother transitions after childbirth.
